The special Al-alloy continuous casting and rolling line can be used to produce alloy rods,such as Al-Ti-B(grain refiner),Al-Ti-C(grain refiner).There are production lines which can be visited:Al-Ti-B alloy rod continuous casting and rolling line(xuzhou liuhe aluminum CO.,LTD);Al-Ti-C alloy rod continuous casting and rolling line(xuzhou dongfang aluminum CO.,LTD);Al-Sr alloy rod continuous casting and rolling line(Nanjing welbow aluminum CO.,LTD).
The brief technological process is:Pure aluminum ingot→ melting(in the melting furnace 750°C)→ adding titanic and boric salt(mixture)→ rising temperature(800°C) →whisking →deslagging →electric holding furnace→whiskings→ rising temperature(750°C)→deslagging→standing →pouring and casting(800°C)→launder(filtering) →up pouring groove→adjusting fluid device(control fluid)→down pouring groove→ cavity of crystallizing wheel(4-wheel continuous casting machine)→ cooling crystallizing →guide bridge→ continuous rolling mill→ coiler→ Al-Ti-B wire/rod with dia of 9.5mm.
